Biography
Dr. Juliana Fort is a clinical associate professor at the LSU Health Shreveport Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. She serves as the associate director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and the director of the psychiatry medical student clerkship. After completing her psychiatric residency and child and adolescent fellowship in the psychiatry department at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Fort graduated from the LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine. She is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and board certified in geriatric, forensic, addiction, and child and adolescent psychiatry. She is a licensed play therapist and supervisor and has a passion for studying expressive art therapies including drama therapy, improvisation, and mindfulness that enhance psychotherapy, wellness, and personal development.

Dr. Juliana Fort's research interests encompass the integration of expressive art therapies, such as drama therapy, improvisation, and mindfulness, into psychotherapy. She is particularly focused on their applications in child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as their impact on personal development and overall wellness. Additionally, her work spans forensic, addiction, and geriatric psychiatry, with an emphasis on innovative therapeutic approaches that enhance mental health outcomes.
